Wargames           Tips & Ideas

You have acquired your army, painted the combatants, and planned a few campaigns, but something may be missing.  Realistic structures that can be redesigned and rebuilt to fit in with a new campaign, army, or time period.  In short, you may be searching for a versatile, inexpensive alternative to resin structures.
I offer for your consideration and perusal the EXIN CASTLE SYSTEM (Plastic, snap together construction system) and the RICHTER'S ANCHOR STONE BUILDING SYSTEM (Solid, heavy "stone" construction system) that is versatile, adaptable, and reusable.  The EXIN CASTLE SYSTEM is inexpensive (Average cost is ten cents per piece) and is useful in building structures from the ancient world through the medieval era, to the British empire colonial period.  This system lends itself best to 25 mm figures, as the doors and windows are a fixed size.  You can alter the size of door and window openings by using the arched beams rather than the pre-assembled doors and windows, and this may be satisfactory for 54 mm figures.  Please see photo below.  Figures are 25 mm.

EXIN CASTLE SYSTEM

The ANCHOR STONE BUILDING SYSTEM is very realistic, extremely versatile, and adaptable.  This system can be utilized to construct buildings, bridges, fortifications, castles, walls, and just about anything you can imagine.  It costs about one dollar per stone on average, but it can be used to constuct objects in virtually any scale, from 15 mm to 300 mm.  It does not contain pre-assembled doors and windows, so you can design them as small or as large as you choose.  Please see photo.  Figures are 25 mm.

ANCHOR STONE SYSTEM

The ANCHOR STONE SYSTEM simulates real world building materials, and is available in three colors:  red, yellow, and blue.  These colors simulate brick, limestone, and slate.  The "stones" simply are laid one on top of the other to construct objects.  Check out the ANCHOR STONE pages on the main index to view some of my structures.
